What is it?
A monthly lottery to raise funds for improvements to Sambrook Village Hall. The lottery will be registered with Telford & Wrekin under the Gambling Act 2005
What are the prizes?
There will be Two cash prizes each month. The monthly prize fund is 51% of that months subscription. 1st Prize 70% of the prize fund and 2nd prize will be 30% of the prize fund.
When is the draw?
The draw will be held towards the end of each month at a Sambrook Venue. Watch notice boards, Facebook, Website or your email for the exact date, time and location.
How much goes to the Hall?
The remaining 49% of the months takings will go to fund improvements to Sambrook Village Hall
How do I enter?
You can obtain entry by :
- completing the online form
- emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
- or speaking to any member of the committee.
Initial Entry forms will be delivered to all homes in Sambrook and surrounding areas.
How do I pay my subscription?
Subscription to the draws can be by
- a monthly Standing Order of £5 per entry (to be received on or before the 5th of the month for inclusion in that months draw)
- a one of annual payment of £60 with can be by Standing Order, BACS or a Cheque made payable to Sambrook Village Hall.

How will I know if I have won?
The winning numbers will be posted in Sambrook Village Website, Facebook, Three Horseshoes notice boards in the bus shelter plus in Sambrook Newsletter or you can be notified by email if you let us have your email address. We will contact each winner at their address.
Sambrook Village Hall Lottery Rules
Membership to the Sambrook Village Hall Lottery is available to individuals who are aged 16 years or over. This is a legal requirement.
Entry payment options are:
Monthly standing order of £5.00 per entry (to be received on or before the 5th of the month for inclusion in that month’s draw)
One off annual payment of £60 which can be by Standing Order, BACS or Cheque made payable to Sambrook Village Hall.
Each £5.00 entitles the Sambrook Village Hall Lottery member to one entry in the monthly draw.
Members may have more than one monthly entry of £5 each.
Payments received by the fifth of each month will ensure inclusion in the draw to be made at the end of that same calendar month.
Payments withheld, or not received for any reason, will exclude the member from that month’s draw.
It remains the responsibility of each individual to ensure that standing order payments are made.
Each draw will be conducted in the presence of a minimum of three members of Sambrook Village Hall Management Committee (including at least one officer) and witnessed by non-committee members (i.e. drawn in public)
A draw will take place once a month where two number will be drawn, the first receiving 70% of the prize money and the second receiving 30% of the prize money.
All prize money will be paid by cheque to the winning members.
The total prize money will consist of 51% of that months subscriptions to the Sambrook Village Hall Lottery.
Profits from the Sambrook Village Hall Lottery will be used to impove Sambrook Village Hall.
The winning numbers will be posted on the Sambrook Village Website and Facebook page, the Three Horseshoes notice board, the Sambrook Newsletter, and recorded in the Sambrook Village Hall Committee minutes.
The decision of the village hall management committee shall be final and binding in any matter requiring adjudication.
The village hall management committee shall keep up to date accounts of the Sambrook Village Hall Lottery ,which will be available on request, to any member of the public. Sambrook Village Hall Lottery is registered with the local Authority as required by the Gambling Act 2005.Payment for entry constitutes acceptance of the above rules.
